Troubleshooting Mineral Foundation Application
Valana Minerals mails out sample sets, brochures and application instructions to new customers every day. However, some have trouble with application and assume that the product simply won’t work for them.
Understandably it’s difficult to buy color cosmetics online in the absence of personal demonstrations. Trouble choosing the right undertone, learning how to use the makeup in moderation and using quality brushes all influence how the makeup will look once it has been applied.
The concerns below are those most commonly shared by our customers. You should also visit our Question and Answer section for more detailed responses to the most frequently asked questions.
Quality Brushes: Valana Minerals must be applied with quality brushes with Short, soft, densely packed firm bristles. Quality doesn’t necessarily mean expensive. Just because a brush was expensive it may not work well with loose minerals. Using poor quality brushes or brushes with loosely packed long bristles will give you poor results with uneven application.
Too much makeup: Remember that our products contain only pure natural ingredients that are very concentrated. These products can’t be applied like other mineral makeup brands. So, how do you know what’s enough? Please use the instructions in the “Application Techniques” section. Start with less and you can always add more coverage by adding another layer.
Wrong undertone or shade: Many women of color have trouble choosing the right undertone. For example, someone with golden/yellow undertones using foundation with a neutral undertone will result in a grayish finish. Please don’t assume that the entire product line won’t work and it may take some time to determine the proper undertone. You may also find that blending two shades creates the perfect tone for you.
